About our boards
What makes our surfboards more sustainable?

We carefully design our boards with the full lifecycle in mind. Instead of relying on toxic PU, we use low density recyclable EPS foam cores, natural materials like cork, paulownia wood, hemp, flax and lower impact bio-resins. This reduces the carbon footprint of each board by more than 50% compared to traditional PU. On top of that, our boards are built to last longer and are easy to repair or refurbish, so you won’t have to replace them as quickly. It’s about creating high-performance boards with less impact. For surfers today and the ocean tomorrow.

Do our boards feel heavier because of the wood and cork?

Nope. Our construction is carefully balanced. They're about the same weight as PU.

What is FlexFrame technology?

FlexFrame is a unique construction that improves flex, durability and performance. We’re the exclusive licensed makers of this technology in Europe.

How long do our boards last?

Since it's a quite new construction, it's hard to tell exactly. What we can say is that thanks to our FlexFrame construction and natural reinforcements, our boards are generally more durable than traditional PU or EPS boards. They’re also easier to repair and can even be refurbished, which means they can keep performing well for years and years.

What about repairs?

Most dings happen on the rails. Since FlexFrame boards have strong 20mm of plywood on the rails, the chances of having a ding that force you to stop surfing are drastically reduced.

If you do have a scratch or small ding, you can fix it yourself with wood filler/furniture repair sticks you can buy at your local hardware store.

If the ding is bigger, any FlexFrame production facility can fix them for you with the original natural materials. If that is inconvenient, any shaper/repair guy can do an epoxy based repair. Instructional repair videos will follow soon.
