Lil' Bob
The Lil’ Bob is a board that was designed to perform on small to medium waves. At our home breaks in the North Sea and on beach breaks all around Europe, we often find quick waves that are not too big or punchy. We found that we needed a model that still can be pushed to make the most of these conditions.
This board is quite wide, but has a lot of curve in the outline. This combined with a decent amount of mostly tail rocker, ensures that the board can be thrown around. This board comes standard as a 5 fin setup, since we love to play with fins: for the most shreddable turns, throw in you thruster fin set. For even more speed and drive down the line on a hollow day, try a quad set.
The Lil’ Bob cheekily hides a lot of volume. It is quite thick around the center but thins out towards the rails to still have shortboard-like hold in the face. The width and thickness, combined with a classic single to double concave into vee off the tail, provide a board that paddles easily and gets on rail properly.
We think the board is most suited for good intermediate and advanced surfers looking for a playful groveller for any smaller day.
How it rides
Built for smaller, softer waves from about 0.5–1.8 m. Extra width, volume, and a playful outline make it easy to paddle, get into waves early, and carry speed through flatter sections. Playful and forgiving, it’s a board that turns the less-than-perfect days into fun sessions.
