The name says it all; it’s got a pin tail, a wing, and it’s a twin. It actually started out as a twin pin, but we liked the name Pin Wing so much that we decided to add a wing. Turns out, it works even better that way.
The Pin Wing is our take on a glidey, mid-length twin built for open-faced waves. It carries plenty of speed, holds a clean line, and loves long, drawn-out turns. The pin tail gives control and hold when things steepen up, while the wing breaks the outline just enough to make it more responsive when you want to redirect.
It’s a board that encourages surfing good waves with a relaxed mind, while still being sensitive to rail-to-rail changes. A true mid-length shredder for point breaks, reef setups, or clean beachies.
How it rides
Works best in 1 – 3.5m clean, open-faced waves. Glide, trim, and carve. Torren Martyn inspired laid back surfing on clean waves
CORK OR WOOD? WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE
cork
Gives the board more flex. It’s got a natural dampening effect that makes it feel softer and more responsive under your feet. You don’t need wax: the texture provides grip on its own! Over time you’ll see light footprints forming where you stand.
Wood
Has less flex, feels more solid underfoot and lasts even longer. We usually recommend wood for boards over 7 foot. The extra stiffness works perfectly on longer shapes.
