Lil’ Bob

The Lil’ Bob is the latest addition to the good, thanks quiver. Bob is a board that was designed to perform on small to medium waves. At our home breaks in the North Sea and on beach breaks all around Europe (and the world) we often find quick punchy waves, that are not too big. We found that we needed a model that still can be pushed, to make the most of these conditions.

This board is quite wide, but has a lot of curve in the outline. This combined with a decent amount of (mostly tail) rocker, ensures that the board loves to be thrown around. This board  comes standard as a 5 fin setup, since we love to play with fins: for the most shredicle turns, throw in a good thruster fin set. The Lil’ Bob cheekily hides a lot of volume. It is quite thick around the stringer, but thins out nicely towards the rails, to still have shortboard-like performance.

The width and thickness, combined with a classic single to double concave into vee off the tail, provide a board that paddles easily, and shreds small waves to pieces.

We think the board is most suited for intermediate to advanced surfers, looking for a weapon for the smaller days that still have some punch. The board mostly enjoys a bit of a wall from thigh to shoulder high, handles flatter bigger waves, but doesn’t excel in the flattest/weakest of waves. However, board can be tuned/customized to be turned into an ultimate small weak wave board, but this will impact the performance. If you’re interested or want to know more: please get in touch!
