The Hans K’log is our noserider choice for the North Sea. During the covid pandemic we secretly crossed the border and went to visit our friend and fellow shaper Brock Jones jonesshapes.com with two blanks in the back of our van. He showed us his approach to making his magic longboards and we watched his very clean and balanced way of moving from blank to shape.
These lessons have ended up in our design for this log. It has a wide overall outline and lots of curve in the tail rocker and outline. Combined with pinchy rails makes this board lively and responsive. We feel that this design is a userfriendly board for those who want to get into logging and noseriding. It will catch waves early but starts sucking you back into the pocket as soon as the wave picks up speed. It’s as slow as a longboard can go so you can be in the right place to turn and walk up to the nose.
